Youth Programs
Baptist Youth Fellowship (BYF)
Is cheating acceptable in order to get good grades? Should women be ministers?
How do you cope with peer pressure? What does the Bible really say about drinking
wine? Who should be in-charge in the family? Is homosexual behavior OK? Where do
church activities fit into a teenager's list of priorities? Do the Ten
Commandments still apply today?
Lively discussions of issues facing teens in the 7th through 12th grades, with an
emphasis on Biblical principals, time for fellowship with friends, a few minutes
for tag football, kickball, or softball, and even a light supper, they're all part
of the Sunday Evening BYF meetings. But that's not all! There are also retreats to
the mountains or the beach, mission trips, outreach activities, summer camp, and
even an occasional lock-in. With an average attendance of 30 to 40 youth, every
meeting is an adventure.
If you are a teenager with questions about God, Jesus, the Bible, or life in
general, you are invited to be a part of the Oakmont Baptist Youth Fellowship.
If you are a parent of a teenager, you are welcome to visit the meetings with your
teenager. There, you will find a Youth Minister and a group of adult volunteers who
love teenagers and want to share with them the truth of the Bible and the Love of
Jesus.
If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Amy Andrews, Minister of Youth and
College Students, at 756-1245.
