Instrumental Groups

Orchestra

Contact:  Jason Barclift

Oakmont continues to be one of the few churches in Greenville that utilizes an orchestra on most Sundays of the year.  Open to adults (and high school students by audition), the Orchestra helps lead worship at our 9:40 a.m. Worship Service.  Rehearsing weekly on Wednesday nights, 6:30-7:30 p.m., this group is a vital component of our Sunday morning worship-playing preludes, postludes, offertories, and accompanying anthems.

Sounds of Praise

Contact:  Macon Dail

This instrumental ensemble is our version of a contemporary praise group.  Utilizing mostly orchestral instruments, this group's music has elements of jazz, rock, blues, and pop all rolled together for exciting arrangements of hymns and contemporary Christian music.   They play quarterly in the 9:40 Worship Service and accept a number of invitations at nearby churches and other venues.

JuBellation Ringers Handbells

Contact:  Jason Barclift

Oakmont's adult handbell group comes together as needed for special events and specific seasons of the church year.  There are certain times of the year when this bell group is heard from more often than others, especially at Christmas, Lent, and at Easter.
