I Only Want to be with You is the newest musical
for kids from the award winning team at
Frick and Frack Music.

This 1960's Beach Style Musical teaches kids to look to the light, and to be salt and light in a dark world.

The story: When a group of college kids learn that their favorite beach hangout is slated for destruction, they join together to raise funds to save the Surf Shack. Along the way, will they choose to listen to "the Guru," or will they learn to run to the Light?

 

 

What Is It?

Art-Is-In is a week-long day camp during which a team of Frick and Frack Music professionals develop and produce a full-scale Broadway style musical featuring local 1st - 6th grade kids as cast, choir, and crew here at Oakmont. Auditions, intensive rehearsals, performing arts instruction and finished performances for the public are all part of the camp. With a strong emphasis on helping children discover their unique spiritual gifts and talents, every Art-Is-In residency provided Biblically based instruction and principals along with quality arts education.

In addition to the expertise and energy of the Frick and Frack, each Art-Is-In residency comes complete with professionally designed scenery, costumes, props and makeup, as well as sound and lighting equipment.

 

What Will Happen?

Each day the participants will prepare for a performance of I Only Want to Be with You to be presented on Friday night.  We'll provide two snacks during the day and you should bring a sack lunch.  Throughout the week the staff of Art-Is-In will lead the children during the various tasks necessary to learn the music, dialogue, and movement for the production.
