A native of Nebraska, I moved to North Carolina in 1989.  Friends introduced me to Atlantic Beach and I was hooked.  I am now a big ECU fan, as well as keeping some of my Nebraska heritage.   My grandmother is fond of saying, "You can take the girl from the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the girl."  I enjoy gardening, sewing and crafts, and watching college sports.

I was born and grew up in Parsippany, NJ as the oldest of three children, attended and sang in the children's choir of Denville Methodist Church.  After marrying, we relocated, along with most of our family, around Roanoke/Martinsville, VA.   I began working at Oakmont in June of 2002 after leaving a career of 26 years at Hampton Industries in the Computer Marking Department when they closed due to manufacturing going out of the country. I've been married to Larry for 42 years and have a son, Jesse who is 28.  We live in Grifton and I'm a member of Grifton United Methodist Church.  I teach children's Sunday school, help with children's church, sing in the choir, and am one of the Financial Secretaries.  I'm also involved in our Agape Circle, Worship Team, and the Epiphany outreach program at Dobb's School in Kinston.

I have been blessed with my job as Financial Secretary of Oakmont Church.  I have enjoyed the people.  God has given me many opportunities to minister with Oakmont and also provided valued information that has given my church, Oak City Baptist, the opportunity to be involved in missions in a broader scope.   I am a native of Chatham County.  Wesley and I make our home in Oak City, NC, where we raised our two daughters who have blessed us with three grandchildren.  I graduated from Edgecombe Community College. I have worked for twenty-eight years within the financial arena.  I am an active member of Oak City Baptist Church where I serve as WMU Director, Sunday School teacher, deacon, and organist.  I work with WMU-NC on a volunteer basis on the Executive Board, as a mission speaker and a children's leadership trainer.
