Ministries & Missions
Children & Youth
Children: At Oakmont, children are a lifegiving source to our church family. On Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, children are welcomed into a fun, safe, and faith-filled environment where they can grow in their understanding of God and God’s love. Through these experiences, children discover what it means to be part of a loving church community. Through Sunday School, Wednesday night activities, children’s choir, and seasonal events like VBS, Easter egg hunts, and trunk-or-treat, children are invited to participate in the life of Oakmont while building friendships, asking questions, and learning how to live out God’s love in everyday life.
Youth: Our youth ministry is a place where students are welcomed, known, loved, and supported as they continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus. We believe that faith, fellowship, and fun belong together, and that students learn best in a community where they are valued and cared for. Youth group is more than a Bible study; it is a space for students to authentically be themselves, ask honest questions, build meaningful relationships, serve others, and deepen their faith in real and personal ways. Through shared experiences, thoughtful conversations, and plenty of laughter along the way, students discover how faith in Jesus shapes who they are and how they live.
Senior Adults
Oakmont values the wisdom and gifts of our senior adults, offering opportunities for fellowship, learning, and worship. They can join Sunday School, participate in the Joy Singers Choir, or enjoy our monthly Senior Adult Lunch Bunch, which alternates between local restaurants and the fellowship hall. In addition, seniors can engage in educational programs, take trips together, and build meaningful connections while serving and growing in faith within our church family.
Missions
At Oakmont, we are committed to putting faith into action through a variety of missions and ministries that serve both our church family and the wider community. From building ramps for neighbors with mobility challenges to tutoring students, offering ESL classes, providing affordable housing, and running a clothes closet, there are many ways to make a tangible difference. We also support foster families, teenage moms, local schools, and community partners, showing God’s love through practical care, outreach, and ongoing service.
